RE/Core^™ wall systems are specially designed Reinforced Earth^® panels with an integral precast column unit attached to the back of the panel. The wall system is designed for situations where reinforcing strips are used. RE/Core combines the advantages of a Reinforced Earth retaining wall with the capacity for supporting significant vertical loads directly behind the wall face. Spread footings are poured, steel cages erected and the RE/Core panels are set around the column cages. The select backfill and reinforcing strips are then placed. When the wall reaches the design height, concrete is poured inside the unit to form a column.
